Art on Paper Portfolios > Graphite Drawings

My first love is drawing. These works on paper show my enjoyment of clouds and landscapes. Graphite (also called lead pencil) is a member of the coal family and has been used since ancient Roman times.

I've been drawing for over 5 decades, first in tight realism, now in looser styles. It's interesting to create the looseness of an image with the physical potential of the graphite disrupted using erasers. The images seem to be more engaging and dramatic.
