Cloud systems can be multiple systems. The lower cloud represents the lower air masses, producing cumulonimbus. The upper mass is a different system coming from the right side. The air current is pushing the clouds upward and therefore they are dissipating into eventually, cirrus clouds. Isn't nature wonderful?
